Hi I'm Jamie the author of Panic Over. If you're thinking of buying this book then like me you've probably had anxiety for as far back as you can remember (that's close to 50 years for me.). Most of my life I didn't even realise I had it I just thought I was an insecure sensitive nervous child. As I grew up I acted up and made my presence known by showing off in certain ways something I now know was to hide how I really felt inside. We wear so many masks during our lives that we can reach a point we're so busy trying to convince others who we are we end up conning ourselves too. But panic attacks are different. You can't hide them - they're more noticeable than any mask you've ever worn and reveal a vulnerability that no one can mistake for anything but FEAR. I've had hundreds of panic attacks some lasting minutes some lasting what felt like weeks. Waking up with a panic attack and going to bed feeling the same way. I could live with anxiety but panic attacks nearly took everything from me including my marriage my 30-year business my family and friends and almost my life.But I changed all that yes ME. If you think this book or any book for that matter is going to change you then you're wrong. Because only YOU can really change you. I changed things by learning and putting into practice as much as I could possibly find about things that WE can do for ourselves and understand about ourselves that helps the brain body and mind. Just reading information doesn't change anything but actually putting into practice what you learn does.Knowing myself inside and out and how I function as a system not only saved my marriage but made it even stronger. It also gave me my family back. It awakened a passion in me pointed me in a new career direction and helped me find real friends. But most importantly it helped me live and not just exist. I'm not going to say to you that you've never heard of the practices in this book and I'm not going to make any false promises. What I am doing is sharing all that has helped me and what I use to help others. I'm not a salesman and I'm not full of BS - I'm just someone who wants to help others out of a place that nearly finished me. This book is digestible inhalable relatable but most of all impactful. Yes there's some science in it and some big words but overall it's an easy read and full of insights. If you read this book and practice the teaching you will learn something about yourself that can help you live more contently and at a higher level of consciousness. It's been well over two years now since I've had a bad panic attack. Nowadays if I experience any kind of anxiousness it doesn't lead to a panic attack and the feelings can subside within minutes. I personally don't believe those who say they don't ever get anxious anymore are being honest they're just wearing another one of their masks. Because if you've experienced REAL anxiety and panic attacks then you know just like any other issue illness disorder or whatever description you choose to use there's always a possibility of its return. Many illnesses and conditions aren't cured they're kept at bay by us - eating and drinking healthily exercising thinking healthily sleeping healthily doing all that we can to help our nervous system immune system brain and mind. If we didn't there's a good chance any illnesses or conditions could return. So this book isn't a cure it's a book of knowledge education and insights as to how your system operates and how to help you help yourself to live the life you deserve. It's innate in all of us to live a healthy happy successful life we can just lose sight of it and not know how to get there.
